16 months

Fall is here so we did a lot of fall things this month like pumpkin patch, playing in leaves, fall hair cuts, family photo shoot, and lots of park time at City Park.

Max
Evi
Connor

So, it may look like we have it all together this day at the pumpkin patch but I gotta say....I had a case of 'triplet brain' pretty bad! First off, we were supposed to meet the STORM group (triplet families in the area) but I was a week too early! Then, on the way to the farm I asked Todd if he shut the front door which he said, 'no, did you?'. So we had to call Mike to go to our house to shut the door...which was wide open!!! Luckily Maggie was fast asleep on the couch (such a good guard dog).

The below pics are of Evi dressed in MY old clothes!!! My mom came to visit and brought the museum of Kate in clothing!!! It was pretty hilarious and I have many many more but she really got sick of it after awhile. Some of the clothes she can actually still wear but some are just too 70's!!!

Evi loves to hold hands AND kiss. Isn't that great?vThe boys put up with it and actually like it but Evi is always the instigator and just LOVES it!

holding hands through their cribs at nap time!

This one is just too much!!! I love how she closes her eyes!!! AND Ben is almost 4, way too old!
Evi kissing our neighbor Mae
Things they are doing and saying...
What does a monkey say?... ah ah (as in oh ah ah)
What does a dog say?...woof woof (we have two really loud barking dogs near our house so this was an easy one to learn)
What does a lion say?...rooooaaar (Connor can really nail this one. It's so adorable!!)
And occasionally,
What noise does a car make?...vroom vroom
What does a cow say?...moooo

Evi babbles and babbles and babbles and is definitely a hand talker. Whatever she's saying she's saying it with some personality!

They all love to sit on things. They get this proud accomplished look on their face when they sit on anything. Like they're saying, "yep, I just sat on that all by myself. I am so big!"

I have to admit I had a lot more written about what they are doing but it got erased so I'll try to remember and add more soon.

They also all love to go upstairs. As soon as you say let's go upstairs. They all run to the gate. They do this about 5 times a day and are very skilled. Until...
one time. We were heading upstairs after a halloween party and I was by myself. (Todd was on a business trip). Everyone was almost all the way up when...Connor fell. It was awful. I was so scared. I still don't like thinking about it. Long story short, my neighbors (one of which is a doctor) came over and I took Connor to the ER. Mike met me there WITH LIAM. Connor is fine. They didn't even do a CT scan but I was scared to death. He was playing and laughing and I was sobbing. Parenting is hard. We made a new family rule that no one is ever allowed to hurt themselves again...EVER.

Switched over to front facing car seats! Big kids!

15 months

These kids are getting into everything! Literally, they love to climb into baskets, hampers, drawers, etc. It's pretty cute. They are moving around so much that it's hard to keep them contained. We now take them to the park in their choo choo and just let them run. It's really fun to see what they are going to get into but honestly, most of the time it's more like herding cattle. We also go to the Children's Museum a lot. We make a whole morning of it and pack a lunch to eat in the park outside. They get a lot of energy out and it's fun! We went to the big bike race that was in Denver, their was a neighborhood block party, a couple trips to the zoo, and we even took them to a dinner party! Everyday I think they get cuter and cuter! They're talking more, holding hands, walking/running, and climbing more.

Evi loves giving her brothers kisses. If anyone is lying on the floor they'll definitely get one. One time I was changing Connor and I look over and Evi is on top of Max giving him lots of kisses on his face. Luckily he thought it was hilarious. Evi loves to point and mumble things. She loves going through her books with mom or dad and pointing at everything. I think she's really trying to talk. She'll go get a book, bring it to you and then sit in your lap. It's adorable. She's also talking a lot more. She sorta repeats what you say in her own way. I even think she calls Max 'maaaa'...maybe.

Evi did get a high fever (up to 102, evidently doctors don't think that's high but we did!) for 4 days and then on the 5th day she broke out in this crazy rash all over her chest. The fever made her so lethargic and sad all she wanted to do was cuddle. It was so sad that she wasn't feeling good but I couldn't help but love her wanting to be so cuddled. so cute!!! Once the rash hit the fever was gone and she was back to normal. I don't think she even noticed the rash but it scared us a little. Kids get some crazy things, i guess. The scary part about all this is that Roseola is contagious so fingers crossed that the boys don't get it!!!

Max is the climber. He prides himself on standing on the highest most dangerous part of their play house. Every day he reaches a new height and scares the pants off of me! He also has the most bruises, cuts, and scratches all over himself. Poor guy! I can't decide if he's a little clumsy or if he's just very adventurous. Max is also talking a lot. He sounds more like he's speaking Japanese though. He'll go on long tirades babbling on and on about one thing or another. He's also pretty quick to give out hugs and likes to sit in your lap...if you can catch him.

Connor is the smallest still but the biggest ball of energy. He flies through the house and he's quickly on to a new toy or activity before you even make your way over to him. His favorite activity is walking straight up to Evi and grabbing her paci out of her mouth. She lets out a giant scream and sometimes he even laughs as he runs away. Five seconds later he's dropped it and moved on to something else. I think he just likes the reaction and the attention it gets. uggg! :) He can also get very frustrated when things don't work like he wants them to or he cant express himself. He does this weird screaming thing when he gets frustrated and his whole body gets involved. He's the most curious too. He'll crawl under the cribs, find new ways of getting into the play house, and experiment with running full force into the mesh gate in the room (it's bolted in the wall).

They all love to say HI and they say it all the time but not too often when they are supposed to say it. Evi says it all morning for about an hour some days. Connor said it to the doctor for about 10 minutes and Max is getting very good at perfecting his hi wave. They also love talking to their grandma's on face time. Whenever they see them they try to kiss the phone or blow kisses. It's so sweet. They're all giving high fives now too. Well, most of the time. Music class is so much fun this semester. They all run around and are way more interactive. Sometimes they even clap to the beat or say something in the same tune. They love love love when they can play an instrument or get a scarf to play with. It's even getting a little better to take them away. (It used to be meltdown central.)

Todd went on a business trip for a week and I survived. It was sort of fun having them all to myself and to see if I could really do it. BUT I was very very very glad when he got back and I think I disappeared for awhile!!! :) We have had a couple breaks this month. We went out for my birthday (the big 34), for Todd's birthday (the big 33), I ran a 'mud race' with some other mommas; so we were very lucky to get some away time!

Linnea made a quick trip out to CO!!!
aw shucks

The girls getting mom ready for a night out!
where did Connor go?
Evi conducting the boys. Maggie's dog bed is one of the best places to hang out!
This was too funny! Evi met Eva at the block party and Eva, along with any other kid in the hood, was obsessed with the choo choo but Evi was in loooove with Eva's single stroller! (o, and she ate all her food)
I still can't believe these three were in my belly!!!!
The Mudd-Roberts twins came for another visit!
