Hello world?
This morning I came out of a magnesium induced haze...finally. After 70 hours on this stuff for the second time since I've been in the hospital (48 hours the first time) I have declared myself the "Magnesium Queen"! I'm so glad to be off of it but my body has swollen up like a marshmallow... so don't expect any pictures any time soon. I'm really really really really ready to meet these kiddos and I hope that day comes very soon. I'm 30 weeks and 2 days today!

29 weeks 5 days!
I've been having ups and downs. One day I look really stable with no contractions and the next I'll have one every 5 to 6 minutes. No one seems to concerned around here though. I am on procardia and terbutaline pills every two hours even throughout the night. The 'terb' as they say, makes me really shaky and my heart races but it helps calm the contractions. One nurse today said, "wow, you're reading. That's really good. Sometimes the terb makes peoples vision so shaky they can't read!" So at least I'm not there yet. They just keep giving me the same two lines when I ask when these babies might come... "everyone is different" and "the longer they stay in the better". BUT today Dr. Perreco came in and said he wants to give me two more booster shots for the lung development (I guess they wear off by two weeks) on Sunday or Monday. So that would mean I would potentially-possibly-maybe deliver somewhere two weeks after the shots!! So around 32 weeks. Sounds good to me!
I am a little nervous about everyone in this hospital going out of town for memorial day so I really hope I don't have them till my doc gets back on Wednesday. That's my biggest goal right now....well that and reaching 30 weeks this Sunday.
My mom's coming to wheel me down to the 'other' cafeteria that supposedly has amazing pizza. That will be my big adventure for the day!

28 weeks 3 days
We made it to 28 weeks!! That's a huge milestone! Now we're hoping for week 30. I'm getting much more comfortable being at the hospital. I'm off all machines and IV's and seem to be very stable. So, now I'm just trying to entertain myself.
The hospital is pretty nice though. I get massages, pool time, crafts and game night (which i don't participate in) but there is always something going on. They even let Maggie come visit the other day!!! That was the best! I haven't seen her in so long and we didn't really get a proper goodbye.
In other news, we're doing some small scale construction on the house too and it's coming along. I think they'll be done next week! Here's a pic,..

Babymoon
This is the breathtaking view from Kate's babymoon suite:
It is pretty cool that I can see Jess and Mike's house from my window though. I also saw some friends run right by this window during the Colfax Marathon. I only saw Geoff and Alba but Todd ran that leg too! So cool! What are the chances?

27.1 Weeks--In the hospital
After a fun day (as fun as it can be on bedrest), Mother's Day evening turned into a beast. As I (Todd) was making Kate the most amazing dinner ever, she started to feel something similar to contractions. A call the hospital verified our fears and off we went, with dinner still on the stove and without a proper good bye to Maggie. It quickly became apparent that Kate was having some very regular contractions. The docs did not hesitate with an array of drugs to calm the contractions and let us know that Kate will not be leaving the hospital before the triplets are due. The scary part was that the doctor ordered a steroid to hasten the trips lung development. After a long stressful night that ended around 2AM we finally got a bit of sleep. Today has been yet another long day. The medicine Kate was taking did not seem to calm the contractions down, so the docs and nurses broke out the big gun, Magnesium Sulfate. This medicine is not cool and makes Kate feel a bit weird. Nevertheless, Kate's contractions have slowed a bit. Now all we can do is wait and hope that this calms her uterus and the trips can stay-in for a couple of more weeks. The hardest part is not knowing what is going happen, are the trips going to be delivered today, tomorrow or in four weeks. The health of the three looks great but they will be in even better shape if they stay in for longer. Anyway, we have plenty of time, so expect more updates soon.

27 weeks!!
Last week I went to the hospital for my routine ultra sound and my cervix had shrunk considerably and I was having contractions but had no idea! The admitted me to the hospital for the day to monitor me and give me drugs to 'calm' my 'irritable' uterus. Luckily they sent me home with some drugs but I'm on strict bed rest and can only get up to go to the bathroom. It doesn't help that it's finally spring time and it's absolutely gorgeous out! Todd allowed me a few seconds on the balcony to take some pics but now back in bed. It sounds silly to complain about bed rest but it really is harder than you'd think. I have to rely on Todd for everything!! Poor Todd. He's great though and taking care of Maggie, cooking all the meals, cleaning, and whatever else he's doing downstairs. He's awesome!!! He also gave me a beautiful necklace for mothers day today. so sweet! Other good news is that I passed my glucose test this time so I don't have to worry about Gestational Diabetes. So bring on the ice cream!!!Last week we also had our baby shower at the Wynkoop. It was so much fun and not your typical baby shower at all. So many people came and it was so great to see everyone. Erin, Jess, Linnea, Amanda, and Mel did an amazing job planning it. Here are some pics from the shower.

| The lovely ladies (minus Mel) that threw the best and perfectly timed shower ever! |
We had to change three doll diapers in a minute but Todd couldn't put his beer down and I had to be on the phone. We failed miserably! But I challenge anyone to that contest in 6 months. We'll probably be able to do it with our eyes closed.
